website, has announced that
it has doubled its number of
employees to over 75 people
in just three months due to
the rapid success of its buyback
services, and is looking to
take on another 25 employees
to meet growing business demands.
With
many businesses making cutbacks
and reducing their workforce,
Musicmagpie is bucking the
trend by taking on more staff
to help manage the increasing
transactions and subsequent
workload being generated through
its popular website. The site
now turns over 300,000 CD’s,
DVD’s and games into
cash for users every month.
Commenting
on its success Craig Dawson,
head of operations for Musicmagpie
said: “Since launching
last year www.musicmagpie.co.uk
has had a staggering response,
and with each additional service
introduced we have had to
bring in new members of staff
to keep up with the increasing
amount of stock coming through
the door.
“In
addition to taking on more
staff we are also implementing
a new night shift rota to
maximise productivity. This
will help us to keep up-to-date
with the number of CDs, DVDs
and games coming in, enabling
us to continue to meet the
demands of our customers.”
Musicmagpie
currently employs 75 staff
and will take on 25 new employees
to work across various areas
of the business including
customer services, the warehouse
and administration.
