www.musicmagpie.co.uk,
the UK’s only cash for
old CDs, DVDs and games website,
has announced the launch of
its Cash for Schools service,
giving schools a quick, easy
and free way to raise funds
for projects and extra-curricular
activities.
The brand new service, details
of which can be found at www.musicmagpie.co.uk,
lets primary and secondary schools
recycle pupils’ and parents’
unwanted CDs and DVDs, giving
them an eco-friendly way of
making some extra cash.
The new initiative comes following
a number of requests from schools
asking for a quick and easy
way for them to benefit from
the online recycling service
to help them raise additional
funds.
Steve
Oliver, managing director
for Musicmagpie.co.uk said:
“Many schools are looking
for new and innovative ways
to pay for extra-curricular
activities such as trips,
sports tours or even teaching
equipment. By collecting old
CDs and DVDs students and
parents can help support the
school through an easy to
use fundraising initiative.”
“Having
already paid out over £2.5
million to consumers we wanted
to give schools the opportunity
to tap into the cash that
can be found in pupils’
and parents’ unwanted
CD and DVD collections. Over
the next twelve months we
hope to be able to help raise
over £1 million for
schools throughout the UK.”
With millions of unwanted
CDs and DVDs the new service
from Musicmagpie means schools
can raise some extra funds
whilst encouraging pupils
to recycle unwanted goods.
