Grammy Nominations Announced
It's almost that time of year again; music's biggest night is set to roll around once more and the nominations for the 55th annual Grammy Awards have been announced.
Leading the pack with six nominations each are artists such as Jay Z, Kanye West, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and fun. Elsewhere it was good news for The Black Keys who bagged themselves five nominations.
Battling it out for the prestigious Album of the Year are The Black Keys with El Camino, Some Nights by Fun, Mumford & Sons with Babel, Channel Orange by Frank Ocean and Blunderbuss by Jack White.
Several of the same nominees will battle it out in the Record of the Year category; Fun., The Black Keys and Frank Ocean have received nominations for their biggest hits of the year. Elsewhere there's a nomination for Gotye and their monster hit 'Somebody That I Used To Know', Kelly Clarkson has also gained recognition for 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You),' and Taylor Swift has received a nomination for 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.'
Despite being around since 2008, Fun. have received a nomination for Best New Artist along with the infectious Alabama Shakes. Hunter Hayes, The Lumineers and Frank Ocean make up the rest of the nominees.
As ever The Grammy Awards promises to award the best of a diverse bunch and with nominations for pretty much every genre of music, it's set once again to recognize music on multiple genres. The winners will be revealed in a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles on February 10.
